Asian take away…

It looks inviting so one day I’ll try it.

Seeing the Co-operative Pharmacy (will rebrand as Coop when it moves into the market building I expect) reminds me of the amusement from self service checkouts… incidentally I will always use self service where there is the option. It doesn’t chat to the previous customer; I can put the items through in the order I want to pack them and now that Covid seems to be spreading around again there is no breathing on people.

This morning I had a couple of items from M&S so went to the self service till. Scanned my items and before I had a chance to get my credit card out of my bag it said ‘card declined’. I tried re-scanning the items but again ‘she’ said card declined before I got my card out. I gave up and went to an assistant. I looked over and the self service till accepted the next customers card. ‘She’ clearly didn’t like the look of my face:-(

The Coop self service checkouts always make me smile because in a very American accent the machine says “Please wait for the transactions to complete on the channeler”. Now who dreamed that up?
