Hoar Frost

After being in contact with my blip buddy twigs who has been up in the Twizel area for a couple of weeks, she gave me the ‘nod’ last night and confirmed this morning that the fog and frost had combined to create a hoar frost. (At the time of me loading she hasn’t put up today’s blip, but she will have some awesome photos to show.  My link shows her yesterday’s entry).  So lovely to catch up with her again, and enjoy her hospitality and warmth of her motor home.) 
So rang my mates to see if anybody was keen to join me, two did, the other two had commitments.
We had a mighty day…..the trees around the ponds were exceptional….we would have liked the sun to squeeze through allowing more light on the trees across the water.  But, that didn’t happen.  Nonetheless, we were very happy with what we saw and photographed.
It was perishing cold at times, particularly when the wind was being pesky.
Late home, I took the easy option of picking up takeaways for our late dinner.
The camera gear is still in the car, and that is where it will stay overnight.  My phone pics give you the idea of how beautiful it was….some in as extras.
