True love ❤️

Married for over 60 years, a retired farmer and his wife were gardening together as I cycled past them. Something said to me “how wonderful”, I could feel the warmth of their relationship as I looked at them. When I turned around and retraced the 50 yards it became clear that they had a special bond and it resonated deeply into the world. Christian down to the ground we chatted as though we had been friends forever.
Earlier:
Moved camp.
Cycled to church in Gt.Torrington via the wonderful Made-Well cafe near Hatherleigh (flapjack and a fruit tea.)
After church a few of us enjoyed conversation and tea and biscuits of course.
Visited a good friend in town and then cycled to my local bike shop to exchange bikes and set up my racing bike which had a new group set fitted.
Lunch at the Cafe du Park before the cycle back to Amadeus amongst some lovely summer weather and hedgerows overflowing with wild flowers.
A swift turnaround after my 100k ride for a swim in the new pool near Holsworthy.
Back for another bowl of rabbit stew and some much needed rest and recovery.
