A dragonfly

I had a walk around my garden this afternoon and found this dragonfly on one of the flowers. I have seen various dragonflies around this year, but never seem to have my camera when I see them.
A good day at work. We had 10 yards of mulch to spread at one place, finished that in about 3.5 hours and decided that we would need another couple of yards, so I was able to get that delivered this afternoon and we will finish it tomorrow morning.
I had 2 yards of soil being delivered to another job today so it would be ready for us in the morning. There was rain in the forecast for tonight (but that changed) so I told the crew we were going to get that done this afternoon. We will go back tomorrow with the plants, then start working on another section of the garden. I must take a walk around tomorrow with my camera and take more photos to have as the before photos.
The crew was happy to finish off this afternoon. It was warm, but not as humid as earlier in the week. The homeowner has an inground pool, plus they back onto a lake. She told everyone if they wanted to have a swim before leaving, to go for it. I don't swim so I didn't get in. Four of them had a nice swim. I am sure they will all have towels and bathing suits with them when ever I say we are going there again.
I have been watching videos and seeing photos posted on FB tonight of flooding in the valley. They were on the edge of the remnants of Hurricane Beryl and received a lot of rain in a short period of time. Almost deja vu for many as it is less than 2 weeks shy of a year since major flooding happened when over 100 mm of rain fell in an hour. Here in Dartmouth, we never had any rain.
