Shimmering Len
Not quite an abstract but it is a sort of impressionistic shot of the River Len in Mote Park. It’s always a lovely view up the river from the bridge and with careful framing you get the full effect of the shimmering water, reflections and today some blue sky!
A run first thing which was very hard for some reason. I knew as soon as I started that the legs were leaden. I recovered after breakfast so that we could walk before lunch.
Down to the allotment after lunch to plant out a few leeks and brassicas and begin building a brassica cage. Most of the plot is looking good under the no dig regime. Very few annual weeds and the marestails manageable. I should blip it.
The surrounds are overgrown though, with great swathes of nettles growing out of the compost bin and all along the boundary fence. Hoping they will be cleared next weekend.
A quiet, feet up evening, a snooze may be involved.
What a result for England in the Euros. Most unexpected and most welcome. England’s men’s cricketers are doing well too. Last game for Jimmy Anderson. End of an era.
Pleased you liked yesterday’s steamy blip!
I’ve tagged this for abstract Thursday hosted by Ingeborg. Thank you. It doesn’t meet the criteria. But I like it.
