On his way to his beehives, M dropped me off in Ely this morning where I wandered round the market and shops before heading to the cathedral. I never tire of visiting this beautiful building. At the moment there is an exhibition of sculptures dotted around the cathedral, inside and out; for more info see the links above. After looking at all the sculptures (some of which I found rather odd), I took a seat in the presbytery for the lunchtime piano concert. After four hours in town, met up with M and returned to base, just in time as the rain then arrived, and lasted for the rest of the afternoon.

In extras, two more of the 27 sculptures on display, and multiple photos of the cathedral, market, and a postbox topper that has its own Facebook page! The extras will be turned into a collage once home, which is where I’m heading tomorrow as my brother is arriving for a couple of days.
