Pet run

It felt warm enough this morning to be sleeveless.

In the morning I got the run we had for our tortoise ready for collection by someone on the Nextdoor site.

Trimmed back the buddleia that has produced masses of stems and flowers which had now gone over.

The run was offered for free.  The person who collected it said they were going to break it up to make an extension for a cat pen.  It sounded odd and it saddened me that it wasn't going to be assembled as a pet run.  We had it made specially for the tortoise.

When I related the collector's intention to Mr, he echoed my disappointment.  Perhaps we're too sentimental.

My blip features a part of the run.   Pictured is ittle o, Oscar our past cat and big O, Otter, our first greyhound and if you look carefully in the background you can just see the dome shell of Angus the tortoise.

When Angus was first acquired in the 1960s it was thought he was female and called Agnes.  Later it was discovered he was male and called Angus.

Sadly all three are no longer with us.  We were a four-pet home then with two cats Oscar and Lucinda, Angus and Otter.  All wonderful.

The garage is slowly getting emptied.

Pleasant evening everyone.
