Hollyhocks

What an awful morning. It was drizzling rain, windy and misty. We did our usual walk on the beach and got soaked, a bit later than usual. There was a school party at the North beach, such a shame for the children although they looked quite happy.
We decided Tuesday we would go home this evening as the beds aren't very comfortable and Chris was really suffering more than usual. We packed up after lunch and set of for home. The journey was good, the rain wasn't everywhere. I ended up driving through Wakerley and Borrowden. We have been here before as we went exploring a few years ago. Jean, Chris's mum was evacuated to the area. We remembered a lovely community shop so we went and had tea and a delicious cheese scone. I have loved seeing beautiful hollyhocks here and in Norfolk. It was time for me to blip them.
It is so good being able to read your journals again having a great phone signal and internet. Thank you so much for all the recent comments, stars and hearts.
