Valeting

We’ve decided to sell our second car as it’s a bit of a luxury these days so this morning I decided to try and book a car valet. As the first availability all local companies appear to have is next month, I decided to tackle the job myself. As I use it for transporting Phin, it’s got pretty mucky inside.

I didn’t realise quite how difficult it would be to remove all the dog hair. It seems to work its way into the fabric in the seats and in the carpets. But with a lot of elbow grease and much muttering I finally got all of it out of the seats. The interior needs another going over and the seats shampooed but that’s a job for tomorrow as after 3 hours I was done in.

I’ve spent the rest of the afternoon sitting and staring at my waistcoat. I think the square I made as a pocket yesterday will be too big but I’ll try to pin it on to see what it looks like.

Dinner of sausage and mash with crispy onions accompanied by peas and baked beans was just what I needed.
