Killarney

We keep having pleasant surprises on our holiday. Today's secret which we didn't know about was the pleasures of Killarney National Park, which is accessed across the road from the town and the cathedral.
It's an area of managed estate land which gets wilder as you get closer to Ross Castle, Lough Leane and its forests and islands. All gorgeous. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of swallows, grasshoppers, horse and carriages and old fashioned tour boats.
