Back to Reality

It was a scramble, but I did get everything done at the cottage to get ready to leave....Whew...in the pouring rain of course...which complicates everything...The boat taxi arrived on time and because all my gear could not sit not he dock waiting for it in the rain, Brian, the driver, lugged all my stuff from the cottage to the boat and then in town, reversed it, lugging git all to my car...Then it was off to the garbage dump and the long drive home - in the pouring rain....and then the luggi=ing of everything from the car into the house! It was good  to be home..but I was exhausted..

The first thing to hit me when I drove in was the garden! Good Grief! Out in the back yard.., a jungle! A total jungle! Out in the front yard, not so bad.  Flowers yes, but also plants past their prime and in need of pruning or cutting down..I have a whole lot of work ahead of me...Welcome home.

When I went into the house, the next thing to hit me was a howling cat! Oh boy, did she let me know that it was time I came home, and that it would be in my best interests to give her some treats...which I did.. and then collapsed onto my bed for a long nap. I woke up 2 hours later to find said cat Maggie snoozing alongside of me...So, I guess I am forgiven and we are back to normal.....for now....
