Before the Storm

Onward and Northward, we’re in Annapolis now, home to the US Naval Academy and to lots of tourist catering bars, cafés and tat shops. For our last night we went upmarket and are staying in a Historic Inn bang in the centre of town and a few yards from the statehouse, info in the Extra.
Took a walk down to the dock/marina in the evening but as usual it was too hot to go far so we grabbed a seat outside at Pusser’s Bar for a while before strolling back into town in search of dinner and finding a great beer garden, not common in these parts. But no sooner had we ordered cocktails and scran than we were ushered indoors because there was a thunderstorm on the way. Damn!, inside was poor. But never mind, we enjoyed an outside cocktail.
