Wild flowers on the verge

One May, I travelled in Andalusia, southern Spain, ending up in a white village called Gaucin in the hills 30 miles north of Gibralter. When I asked about local walks, the landlady of the bar told me to go south on a track out of the village where all the wild flowers would be out. And they were. I described it in my diary as a ‘psychedelic carpet.’ I didn’t photograph them, so this will have to do. (It’s not very psychedelic.)
