I have the feeling that the gulls are having a bad season (for them!) - fewer of them, no nesting visible on the roof opposite as in previous years, and I haven't encountered any youngsters staggering about at street level. Maybe numbers are down due to bird flu - D reckons there are a lot fewer on Inchcolm this year.

This is our local gull (we call it Stewart for historical reasons, but it may of course be female). It currently has a bad leg/foot so is hurpling badly when it tries to walk about. It did have a companion there last week but they seem to have departed. Changed days since the start of the season when there was this huge meet up and racket.
