Farewell Sweet Mehitabel

Sadly today was the day. I knew yesterday Mehitabel was in real trouble. Her breathing was labored and she was hardly eating. I called yesterday and scheduled a drop off appointment with the vet. But when I got there, instead of dropping her off I spoke first with the vet tech and then with the vet. It was time to gently help her end her suffering. I held her and gave her all kinds of love. Even after her heart stopped I talked to her and gave her love. She was such a great cat, and a long time member of our family. She was close to 16. Rest in Peace Sweet Mehitabel.
