The Black Dahlia
The sun shone, there was a breeze and at the end of a busy day I finally got to pick the dahlias that have opened whilst I’ve been away.
Busy day in the barn office catching up with writers, with the team, with the future. Managed a lovely walk in the morning but nothing over lunch and then in the evening, after a call with Lorenzo just wandered around the garden.
The willow has leaves again, the deer are in the field but don’t appear to have been in the garden much whilst I have been away, it is the new growth they like rather than actual flowers I think.
Watched an ep of Presumed Innocent (I wish I didn’t remember the twist) and did a few more chores to stop self going to bed early, and then finished my current novel The Ministry of Time. I really enjoyed it, it’s very well written and richly told novel about time travel which normally is very ‘yawn’ but this has real depth.
