Everyday I Write The Book

Divine Intervention

The religious placard bearer in Trafalgar Square caught my eye; then I turned to go and saw the football shirt wearing fan. Irresistible.

It was a good night for English football as it turned out, and there may have been a bit of divine intervention in the penalty decision that got us back into the game. But the winner was a peach of a goal.

I was in London on my own today, which is always a double-edged sword. Enjoyed a trip to the National Gallery, particularly The Last Caravaggio . I also went to the Algerian coffee shop and Gerry’s wine and cocktail shop, which are located at opposite ends of Old Compton Street in Soho. But TSM stayed at home and I always miss her on such occasions, as these are all favourite haunts of ours. But at least I got home in time for us to watch the game together.
