Seeing Double

Yes, I know it's the same shot as yesterday, but technically, technically, I only took this photo today. You see, I'd taken along my dad's old (almost 50 years old) Pentax ME Super last night as well, and I only developed the film today, and my 'scanning' technique uses a homemade jig, with the developed negatives held in a frame in front of a lightbox, with my digital camera on a sliding mount opposite. So the photo of the negative was taken today...

And despite me being a rank amateur at developing, and despite the camera seemingly having a light leak at the bottom, and despite me not noticing a tiny bit of grit that scraped down the negatives as I squeegeed it dry... There's something about the tone and the look and the feel that I prefer to yesterday's purely digital shot.

And today I went and spent my lunchtime looking at some more boxes of cameras in a couple of random auctions where people may not have rummaged enough to see what is hidden away (and desperately hoping no-one else is interested in a TLR camera I have my heart set on).
