Calm after the storm.
The storm came in the shape of my mum having a small heart attack at 3am this morning. Cue paramedics and an ambulance before dawn. She’s had terrific care all day from unfailingly cheerful, kind and attentive staff, pretty much everyone from overseas. She had a failed angiogram due to one artery being completely blocked. She’ll have meds to control it instead. The medics couldn’t believe she’s got to be 91 and 3/4 with no meds, no major illnesses. That will change now but she’s survived it.
I had to take a walk along the cliff once I’d gone back to her flat and was greeted with a beautiful calming evening sky. I needed that.
