Optimism

The local worthies who are charged with providing culture to the taxpayer had a rush of blood to their collective heads when planning the refurbishment of the town's theatre (see yesterday's Blip). 

They thought an outdoor seating area would be a great addition to the theatre cafe. I agree with them for once. It will be wonderful on a warm summer day. 

This year the warm summer day was on Monday. The cafe is closed on a Monday. 

As you can see from my Blip, us taxpayers have not managed any enthusiasm for sitting outside for a coffee on cool damp days. 

Maybe things will improve.
