Waiting for a drink

This was an easy photo. The wasp remained on the sprinkler head as I tried various camera angles. It didn't even move around. I am certain it was alive but had nothing better to do at the moment. When I looked at the other photos I took I could see how the wasp had moved ever so slightly.

That has to be the thinnest and longest waist on any wasp I have ever seen.
