Ripple
Adventurous today with Millie as I wanted her fairly early on to get used to coming with me on expeditions so I took her to one of my favourite places for dragonfly photography, Ripple Lake.
She loves her cosy car seat, behaved fairly well on the lead and I thought, 'I've got this!' We went a little way, no-one around, so I slipped her off the lead and she had a ball. She never went far from me, explored the water and the new smells and we both loved it. However...
the return journey proved very different. She knew where she was heading .... she really had a mind of her own. I/we have a long way to go. The potential is there though for which I am happy. It might have been easier if I could have taken Poppy with us.
As I'm writing this there is a huge battle going on outside. The crows are and have been very upset for ages and I can see two lesser black backed gulls swooping around causing chaos. This business of being able to have the internet at the other side of the house means I can be free of my office for a while. This is because too I'm on my laptop as it's now been nearly 5 weeks since my Mac screen blew up and I haven't heard anything and I've chased them!
BA too are really not playing the game after the South African debacle. 12 weeks today and they are still prevaricating over the issue.
The email:
'We're really sorry you're still waiting for a response from us. We know it's been a long time since you contacted us and this isn't the service you would expect.
Rest assured we've not forgotten your case. Our Customer Relations teams are working extremely hard to respond ....'
WELL not hard enough in my opinion and apologies now are not cutting the mustard. This is poor service:
In put in my claim for the basic minimum as we had heard they were not having any of any peripheral claims such as: a weeks parking at Heathrow, our kennel fees for a week, the original flight delay in Port Elizabeth which included the hotel and meals before we even got to Johannesburg. I did not moan and winge about the taxi fees/ half hour journeys to a flight for which I had a ticket, the standby tickets when the flight was full, their radar problems and the fact I was really quite ill hanging round in the airport. I just love going round looking extremely tired, dishevelled and fed up and being lied to by the staff on the check in desks there. It was ghastly for a whole week and they are now saying, 'Thank you for your continued patience.' Well I am fast losing my patience but don't see what I can do about it. More than a ripple here ...
Well I feel better for that! :)
