Windfall

At first glance I thought we had been invaded by butterflies, but soon discovered they were sycamore seedlings, brought down today by a strong breeze. They dig themselves in, ready to germinate into little sycamore seedlings. Sadly they are doomed as the grass is to be cut tomorrow.
No rain today. It has been a bright sunny day with a strong breeze. I have done a bit of dead heading, so good to be out in the garden.
