The Big Dogs

The Durango-Silverton is busy with lots of passengers.  Big trains that require a double header to climb the first hill north of Durango.  I believe these diesels are Alco DL535 but that is a guess.  They were brought from the Yukon by barge and joined the fleet.  Not the wonderful things one sees and hears when a steamer passes, but nice for a change.  Does shake the house when they pass like this blip.
