Knock Hill

This is the view south from the top of Knock Hill to Fourman Hill behind Rothiemay (out of sight here as it is nestled down in the Deveron Valley).
A 360 sweep conveys field upon field of rich farmland dotted with wind towers. You look very hard to see any big hills. Of note, there is Ben A Chee, Ben Rinnes and the high land around the Cabrach, fron where the Deveron rises.

While I don't know this area well there are family connections. My late father spent his childhood years at Fourman Hill. We stopped briefly to see Keeper's Cottage. His Mum, my Granny, told me fantastic stories of life here, which must have been 30s to early 40s, many surrounding working labradors that became much loved pets.
Further down the river my maternal Grand Parents worked and managed Laithers Farm. This was just in my living memory so up to the late 60s I think. With a bit of Googling I was able to find that house too.
