Brading Roman Villa

We walked on the beach this morning, then strolled towards Cowes but the torrential rain turned us back. We had coffees & dried out a bit then set off to see the Roman Villa at Brading. Very interesting to see the results of careful restoration since it was first discovered in 1880.
We started on a coastal road trip but the weather deteriorated with torrential rain so we headed back via Sainsbury’s.
Amazingly the sun broke through the clouds to give us a brief sunset.
