Orkney Isles

This morning we popped very briefly into Kirkwall on the curtesy shuttle bus. Just had time to look round the cathedral and a small amount of town and to buy some lemsip!!
Back to the boat as we were on a coach trip, firstly through the countryside then to the Neolithic heartland - wow! We passed the Stones of Stenness then stopped at the Ring of Brodgar ; a huge ceremonial circle of stones dating back 5000 years. Then on to the incredible village of Sara Brae -really mind blowing. Also had chance for a visit to Skaill Manor.
Back to the ship to continue our voyage.
