X marks the spot
I seem to remember in my early days of being on Blip about ten years ago posting a shot of some foxgloves and calling them hollyhocks. Oh, the shame; I don't think I've lived it down. Well, I'm pretty sure these are hollyhocks but if I've got it wrong, don't feel too bad about me.
My birthday today (not a special one) so we went out for lunch. We went over to where we had dinner with friends last Friday evening; the food had been superb and was the same today. I do hope they survive; they've spent a lot of money refurbishing what was a fairly rustic cafe previously and the chef is clearly very good, but it is in a pretty remote spot where the only realistic option is to drive to get there, and with no passing trade apart from a few walkers and visitors to Cley Spy, the binocular shop nearby. It always seems quiet when we are there but they promote themselves well on social media. Fingers crossed for them.
There is a small art gallery next door, the whole area being in converted farm barns. This doorway was in between the restaurant and the gallery.
