On the road again!

Coming back from Strichen, I spotted a deer in a field at the side of the road. I had an idea that she was going to cross so I slowed right down and sure enough, she did, as you can see.
About ten years ago, a deer jumped right out in front of me and despite frantic braking, I hit her.
When I stopped the car, I got out and looked for her but no sign.
I know she must have been hurt as my car was quite badly damaged. It was a horrible feeling but much worse for the deer I suspect.
I’m glad this one made it safely to the other side.
