40 YEARS AGO . . .

. . . on this day 40 years ago . . . The Great Fire of York Minster . . . remember it so well as I tried to drive through the City, in total ignorance of what was happening. Had some special friends attending as fire fighters . . . they deserved their medals. The date will always be with me as it is Me Dad’s Birthday too . . . born 107 years ago and sadly here no more.
Dreadful weather for The Great Yorkshire Show . . . such a pity.
No direct Blip tomorrow . . . another bargain Jolly Boys Rail Outing to . . . who knows where . . . trying to beat our last record of 302.8 miles in one day.
