Everyday Life

This morning I noticed Minstrel had gone into the spare room which will have Grace and Sophia as its first guests later this week. He was up on the desk, looking out at the very dismal weather that we have. This summer really has not been worth the name. We have had no more than a week's worth of decent days scattered amongst the rain.

Doug's wilderness has well and truly exploded out of his yard now. I think his neighbour's yard looks just as wild!

Today I remembered to take the quilt cover that was the wrong size to the post office to be returned to the seller. Shortly after I received a text from Brian saying he could see I'd sent the wrong quilt cover back and it had triggered a refund.

I knew I'd sent the one he'd packed up to go, so I could not see how I could have sent the wrong one! Turned out it was just my interpretation of how he'd worded the message - six of one, half a dozen of the other! It was the right one for going back as it was wrongly ordered in the first place!

The P.O. was the only place I've been today as the weather has been so wet most of the day. There's been no sun but at least it didn't feel too cold.

More cleaning got done today, including dragging out the front room sofa and hoovering behind it. God knows how it gets so mucky when no one walks there...

Tomorrow I have an appointment to get my hair trimmed and coloured so I won't do a lot. I'll tie up any loose ends on Thursday, then we will be ready for the girls' arrival on Friday.
