Meadow Vetchling

Lathyrus pratensis

The wildflower meadow in the front garden was given a haircut yesterday. It's always a shame to see the flowers mown but with any luck they'll come back for a second flush in a few weeks. This vetchling escaped because it's growing through the box hedge.  Thank you Miranda for the weekly wildflower challenge.

Today I was looking forward to welcoming Blipper Ridgeback13 to Stirling for a walk, coffee and general catch up. However last night we consulted the weather forecast and decided to reschedule. My Tuesday walking neighbour is busy with domestic chores so isn't walking either. I'll need to get out to beat the rain which is heading this way.

I have a lot to do in the house before the next visitors arrive so I'm going to make good use of the unexpectedly clear day.
