Cuckoo

Daughter #2 and I enjoyed a wonderful few hours at Saltholme RSPB reserve today. Once again, there were many highlights: not just birds, but dragonflies, damselflies and wildflowers. Before today, I've only ever had fleeting glimpses of cuckoos, flying off at a distance. This handsome male posed most obligingly for quite some time. An easy blip choice.
