A FAVOURITE OLD OAK JUST KINDA KEELED OVER

It was a beauty - quite healthy but old - and was one of a pair standing at the edge of a field. Now one stands and the other has crashed through the hedge and fence into the next field. It will be my oak quarry for the next few weeks: the small wood will be going into the kiln for charcoal, these big sweeping boughs will be selected for one of my next land art escapades, and the main trunk will be planked - eventually.
Everything will find its purpose in the end.
