Headliine: Careless driver rocks sleepy community"

An unknown driver careened into a lamppost last night in the sleepy community of Elysian Village, obviously breaking the speed limit of 25kph. 
The chairman of the committee said "I am shocked, shocked I tell you"and he stressed that no expense would be spared, funds of up to $25 have already been allocated to find the culprit.

 I think they did more than just lean on the bloody thing, I guess the gossip mongers will find out and then everyone will know .
Perhaps the culprit will be put in the stocks for everyone to see.
. I hope so, I have some tomatoes past their prime which would be great ammunition for throwing.
