Strömfors Ironworks

Excursion day! Today was lovely sunny day - great day for a day trip. And we had a good reason for a trip! Our old rattan sofa on balcony has started to collapse. We found amazing used, sturdy, cheap rattan sofa online - the only problem was that it was in Pyhtää. But it really wasn't a problem, we just took a trailer and hit the road.

We first drove to Old Porvoo, where we had lunch in Fryysarinranta restaurant and had a walk - Peetu was with us, as always. Then we continued to Pyhtää and picked up the sofa from a young family's summer paradise.

Our third pit stop was in Strömfors Ironworks. It's such a beautiful old village in Ruotsinpyhtää! Strömfors Ironworks is one of the best preserved ironworks communities in Finland, with roots dating back to the 17th century.

We had to stretch our legs in Hämeenlinna,, and we were finally back home just before midnight. It was quite lovely to drive a car on a bright summer night.
