Look Out

Partial

The new government is keen on delivering on its manifesto pledges. These include England winning a penalty shoot out in the quarter finals of the Euro’s. Insects suddenly appearing in the garden after a disconcerting absence. And the housemartins getting their act together at last. At least, that’s how it feels.

Taking my cue from the mono Monday challenge, the main image is a honeybee on a borage flower - which is partially hidden. Honeybees are evidently partial to the nectar these flowers produce. I’ve also seen bumblebees and a couple of leafcutter bees in the garden today, so I am partially optimistic - although heavy rain is set to arrive again tomorrow, so I remain cautious.

The housemartins seem to have suddenly established themselves, I’ve seen birds going into and out of the nest, which suggests that they are incubating eggs. I’ve added an extra of a bird departing the nest after another had flown in, they seem to change over regularly.
