New kitchen

After years of setbacks, delays and indecision work has finally started on our new kitchen, (partly due to the project being eye-wateringly expensive).  This morning Tony the builder began work in the utility room with demolition of the chimney breast.

Here is a photo of when I left this morning compared to when I came home this evening.

In duck news I think it was Saturday when we only had three 'ducklings' left.  But...we currently have six.  Three noisy ones returned on Sunday and are staying put. It's quite frustrating.  

Martin and I saw four in pocket park at the weekend and one has gone AWOL, but Pocket Park is really a much better environment for them than our smelly old garden, especially as I'm no longer feeding them at all.
