Day 1 Rhein Route

Yay! The holidays have begun. We took the train to Basel, about lunchtime, and set off on our bike tour, we are mainly doing the Rhine River Euro Velo Route 15. No idea how far we’ll get, or how long we’ll be away. We are just seeing how far we’ll get, and looking at Booking.com for somewhere to stay.
The blip is of my new bike, loaded up, at the port of Basel. We cycled about 70km, stopping for a v late lunch at a beautiful Chateau Golf Club, a lovely terrace, where we had an Alsace Flammenkuchen, this was just in France. We carried on with the tour to Neuf Brisach where we stayed in a small apartment. Very interesting little fortified town, not so busy. We went out for dinner in the town square, then wet and had a local Gewürz Traminer wine at a little bar, and a walk around the town.
