Here and Now

Sunday Stroll with umph

I took a solitary hike along the Chagrin River from Miles Road on past Jackson Field to the pond overlook.  I detoured along Wiley Creek and found Marty C, former head naturalist for North Chagrin Reservation and others, fishing with his family where the creek meets the river. He recently left CMP to teach 6th grade biology at a private school.  Lucky kids!  After a nice chat, I mosied on then sped up into high gear to burn some calories and get the heart pumping.  Along the way I photographed one of my favorite spots (left side), the re-found tree surrounded by stone hearts, and of course, Marty.  He is missed.
