The preparations of the ‘Good Bye Party’ started yesterday in secrecy.  We knew something was going on but never ever thought what evolved this morning.  
Both parents were away to work…Doug and I were banished to our bedroom while she did the preparations,
Finally we were called out…
…..6 balloons 
….the goodbye banner
….paper chain put up across the passage 
….pin the cherry on the ice cream (cellotaped on the door)
…..various containers of assorted lollies 
…..a tray of ladybirds (strawberries, one end dipped in chocolate, and chocolate dots of body, with white lolly balls as eyes)
…..a list of games (which we have endeavoured to play)
….pass the parcel
….hide and seek
….keepy uppy (a Bluey game)
….and others

It’s been a fun and full on day.  For some quieter activities the three of us have been playing a very extended game of Monopoly…..she has just gone off to dancing, the game may (or may not) recommence when she returned.
We start our journey home tomorrow.
