Skara Brae

Our cruise ship dropped us at Kirkwall on Orkney today. We got the shuttle bus into town for a wander and to visit the lovely cathedral. In the afternoon we had a coach tour across the island with a visit first to the Ring of Brolgar ancient stone circle. Then onto Skara Brae. The skill these people had in construction 5000 years ago is amazing.
We got back to watch another under par performance by England in the Euros - but they are finding a way to win, this time with excellent penalty shoot out performance
