Roadside flowers

We started the day slowly, catching up on sleep and drawing breath, and although it was quite a bright day, I somehow ran out of time for a walk. Instead, I spent a few minutes photographing the flowers on the roadside verge very close to home, having abandoned them as the rain increased yesterday. The unmown verges have been delight this summer, and I particularly like this combination of tall pink-mauve mallows yellow and white moon daisies, which is repeated all along the road. The extra is a pyramid orchid, one of several near the post box. Later, I combined yesterday and today's pink flowers in a quick collage.
