Royal Geographical Society - Council

A slightly later start - train from Downham Market with a cuppa and tube to Knightsbridge - walked through Hyde Park to the Royal Geographical Society's HQ for my Induction as a Trustee. There was an exhibition called Earth Photo: this image was taken by Anna Korbut. I met Anna and had a chat, then went up to the Director's Office to meet the new President: Professor Dame Jane Francis, who is the Director of the RGS, and another new Trustee. Met the leads of all the departments, and then went through to my first RGS Council meeting. Just under three hour long meeting. Very interesting. Went through for drinks and a good chat with several Trustees, including two who were also involved with the GA when I was President. Home on the train - a long day but really interesting.
