Meriel and Xena

What crazy weather we have had today. Gavin and I went for a run with Xena first thing this morning, and it was dry and bright. However for the rest of the day we have had lashing rain followed by bright sunshine, and sometimes had them at the same time - when it rains when the sun is shining we call that a 'monkey's wedding' in South Africa!

Gavin was booked to play golf with Luke and I today, but I decided not to play and rather spend time with the girls, also the weather was so unsettled with heavy rain at times so it was not appealing. Gavin and Luke got rained on and had to put on and take off their rain gear five times as it just was so inconsistent. I am pleased I did not play in those conditions.

I had a morning of catching up with admin, and then made lunch for Tommy, Meriel, Inca and I. I made a new recipe of a vegetable tagine and it is topped with halloumi croutons, it was very tasty and I will make it again.

After Inca left to return to Cambridge (she has already started her 6th and final year, so not much of a summer break this year), Meriel and I took Xena for another walk, when I took this photo. It was sunny and bright here but by the time we got home it was raining again, such crazy weather.

Gavin and I are meant to be going to Norfolk on Tuesday but we have delayed it by a day as the weather on Tuesday looks awful.
