Blacksmith

One of our Camera Cub members is a Blacksmith.  Today he and his wife  invited us to the workshop to watch him make some curtain poles. What an interesting day and the sparks flew!  We were there watching him for a couple of hours - it is exhausting and hard physical work. I came away full of admiration for him!
We had lovely lunch and natter after the session, before wandering off to see their horses.  He was originally a jockey before retiring from that and taking up with the smithy.
A fabulous time in spite of the dull and damp weather!
