Independence Day

Patricia has decorated our dining kitchen area to suit the day including this glass dish. And of course the menu for today’s meals have an American theme with a reference to her Portuguese and French forbears who emigrated in the early 1900s.

It is also a General Election today for the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. My postal vote was sent several days ago.

If the Opinion Poles are correct then there will be a change of government. If so, hopefully the needless damage that has created over the last fourteen will start to be repaired.

I deliver Pat to the Scottish Art Club and then head off to Costco for petrol and provisions. According to the Cactus instrument screen there was 3 miles worth of petrol left in the tank. The warning light system became quite frantic!

However, we made it to the pumps and I was able to take a full tank.

We then had a late lunch at Chateau Millar with Pat providing the courses for the meal. American themed of course.
