Future Proofing!

We eventually bit the bullet and invested in Dd’s essential work tool, a powerful new laptop (MacBook Pro 14 with 3M chip, 16GB unified memory and 1TB of storage, for the record). Her last one was on its very last legs after just over ten years of use. We opened the box that contained that one in Aswan, of all places!

Reading the blip entries it’s amazing to see how we carried our big cameras (huge in my case) on and off feluccas and other ferries and up and down rocky paths onto temple islands. Dd asked, ‘Do you remember what we used to do to prep the photos for blip?’
‘Yes,’ I replied, ‘We downloaded them through the cables and used the photo tarting machine in the Macs!’ Never the most techie person!

My blip foto today is in remembrance of our dear blipper Chaiselongue who passed away eleven years ago today - click the year-ago button to read a fuller account on the tenth anniversary. I chose this shot to represent her love of shadows and her inner light.
