Saturday: Norman

It’s been a pleasantly moochy sort of day.  We watched the England - Switzerland match this morning and pottered around a bit for the rest of the day (which included a few episodes of ‘Bridgerton’).  This evening we had a nice catch-up call with our friends, H&L, in Comox on Vancouver Island.

This isn’t the best photo by any means but for a good part of the day we had a pygmy owl nestling on our patio.  We thought he might have been unwell but it seems he was just hanging out.  This impression was reinforced when he swooped on a gecko and made quite the meal of devouring it.  I don’t know if we’ll see him again but that notwithstanding we have named him Norman.
