Pleach

Unlike recent days there was very little wind and the sea was calm with a paddle boarder, several small boats including rowers in the local skiff and the Ticino trailing its nets behind as it fished close to shore.  People were fishing off the rocks and others were enjoying the afternoon walking along the coastal path.  Then the distance approaching dark clouds brought sudden heavy showers sending almost everyone under shelter except the rowers and those who were fishing.  Fortunately the stall holders at the monthly craft and flea market at Cockenzie  had packed their wares away by then. On the drive home we passed places which were still dry while other nearby places had obviously had very heavy recent downpours and there were reports of lightning not far away
